DigitalMales has been successfully moved (1. July 2008).

After our servers  went down in March, we decided it was time for a much needed upgrade of our services and our hosting.  As a result we have been moving the servers from one provider to another, as a result we have much more storage space than ever before, and we have almost got unlimited bandwidth resource to handle the store downloads.

We think we got everything setup on the new server properly, and hope there are no problems with product downloads, however we are changing them over slowly so you no longer have to open HTM rerouter files anymore and get your products directly.  If you experience ANY troubles with purchase or downloads please let us know immediately.

What can I expect to find here at DigitalMales?

Products for the male 3D figures used in programs like Poser, DazStudio or products deemed as "Poser Content" which can be used in other programs like Carrara (Daz3D) or Bryce (Daz3D) or Vue Infinite (Eon) or using InterPoserPro (Kuroyume) together with Cinema4D (Maxon).  

The site contains as many products as we can make available to the community for Male figures and figures that "could be" considered as male.  Therefore we also have Dragons, Trolls and Monsters too.  

But, Why the Creation of an all Male Themed Product Site? 

As discussed on the Daz Commons forum in October 2007, ProFotograf and many others talked about the creation of a site that catered exclusively to the Male Figures used for 3D rendering using either Poser or Daz Studio.

The interest in such a store was resounding.  Hence this store was built.

It has been often stated in the Poser communities that "male products just don't sell..." and we personally don't feel that is true. Another thing that is a serious misconception is, is that people making male renders always render their males for adult stuff or for 'gay' reasons.  This attitude is perhaps one of many out there regarding male figures but is not shared by the myriad of educators, illustrators and others out there who use Poser and such programs for illustrations of childrens books, fantasy book covers and other illustrations which do not land on the internet.  And the serious lack of a place to find these items was part of the reason for the concept behind DigitalMales.

Our Hopes for the Site and its Members 

We hope that we can offer high-quality products here for the male figures and will keep on supporting even the older figures out there, so that those who are just discovering Poser or DazStudio and those figures can still buy older items and enjoy the life they still have in them. 

Any problems or comments about the site, positive or constructive criticism is always welcomed in the Forums.

We are constantly adding a number of additional items to our product palette and you'll have to look a bit to find them if you didn't see them before... Maybe they were on your wishlist elsewhere, or maybe they are new to you.  Check out the store, and enjoy. 

What Can I Do Here Besides Buy Male Stuff?

This site does not contain a Gallery, first and foremost.  The job of maintaining and monitoring an image gallery open to the public and preventing inappropriate renders for younger eyes was something we decided was not worth the risk.  We do have a fully complete Forum here, which has a separate login from the store portion of the site.  This was a software issue, not intended to confuse our users, but at this time something beyond our control.  You can setup a login in the Forums and you have all the capability of communicating with us, talking with others about what you may want to see, or have made for your figures, and discuss artwork in general. 

Private Messaging System in the Forums 

You also have a fully functional Private Mailing (PM) system where you can contact other site members. You can create your own Avatar in the forum system and can show off items you are working on with links to images you are perhaps working on or would like to see.  You can also create polls to ask other users what they think, or to generally ask questions.

We hope that via the store and the attached Forums, you will have an enjoyable experience here at DigitalMales for a long time into the future.

Looking for Male Product Creators and Merchants

If you have created products for the male figures used in Poser and DazStudio, either created a figure of your own, or created content for Poser or DazStudio and are not selling it exclusively at other sites, and would like to expand your area of sales, in a location where only male products are featured, (ie: not wading through pages and pages of Victoria 4 and Aiko stuff) then perhaps DigitalMales is a good place for you to showcase your products.  We offer great rates to all Merchants with products selling in our store here, and hope to make this site very popular among the buyers of male related products for their renders.  We also offer related products which are not gender-based like props, effects, backgrounds, scenes and the like.  And the content of this site is intended to allow a younger audience also view and buy products for their own fun and fantasy-full renderings.  We are looking to support the neglected male figures as well, including Daz3D's Young Teen "Luke" and Daz3D's Preschooler "Matt".  We are also asking creators of products for Anton Kisiel's "ApolloMaximus 2007" to contact us about filling our ApolloMax shelves.  Contact us if you are interested, via the Contact Us menu option above.
